  • Top glaciers in Iceland

Glaciers are some of Iceland’s most representative natural objects. After all, it is not without reason that the island is called by many the land of fire and ice precisely. They occupy as much as 10% of Iceland’s entire surface area, and it is for these extraordinary landscapes that many people choose to tour the country. It’s not every day that you get the chance to see huge, massive, almost endless ice blocks, is it?

The largest glacier on the entire island is Vatnajökull, whose beautiful ice tongues can be easily admired from many places regardless of the season. The Jökulsárlón ice lagoon, with its wonderfully blue water, is also incredibly impressive. Ice attractions are plentiful on the island.

Read the following articles and you will learn more about the glaciers themselves and where the most beautiful places to admire them lie.
