  • Icelandic towns

In Iceland, large cities outside of Reykjavik (which is also not huge) basically… do not exist. Less than half the population lives in the capital, and the rest of the sparse population is scattered around small, quaint towns and sometimes hard-to-reach villages. In addition to filling your senses with unearthly natural sights, go to at least a few of them. These are towns quite different from the ones you see outside your windows every day.

Among our undisputed favorites is the town of Vik located on the southern coast with its black volcanic beaches. Another unique attraction is the port town of Husavik in the north of the country, whose domain has always been whaling. There are interesting stories and unique features associated with the above and many other charming towns in Iceland, which you will read much more about in our articles.
